Above is the collection of final images I used for my last Photography project. The main theme I chose was Identity, but I expanded on this and focused on British identity, how it is influenced heavily by the media and politics. Initially I showed British identity at the lowest level in terms of a political sense; this is the small village community, such as the fear of Europe, and the still powerful church. I then moved on to show the power of the media, how politicians can use it to their advantage, and how the media corporations can use it to create fear in their favour. Finally I played around with the idea of propaganda, I had recently found a funny cartoon in The Times depicting Gordon Brown in a Kitchener style persona, so I decided to play along with this. So I created a modern version of the poster and placed it in a modern surrounding, making it look as real as possible.
